Rule reminder

Academic Italian avoids the first-person singular and uses impersonal constructions instead. Common academic impersonals: si analizza / si esamina (the study analyses), si propone (the paper proposes), si ritiene che + subj (it is argued/held that), si dimostra che + ind (it is demonstrated that), si osserva che + ind (it is observed that), si noti che + subj (note that), va notato che (it should be noted that), va sottolineato che (it should be emphasised that).
