Rule reminder

Official Italian documents (circolari, decreti, avvisi, regolamenti) use a specific formal register with impersonal constructions: si dispone che (it is hereby ordered), si stabilisce che (it is established), si delibera che (it is resolved), si decreta che (it is decreed), si prescrive che (it is prescribed/required) — all followed by the congiuntivo or infinitive depending on the structure. Administrative language also uses: ai sensi di (pursuant to), a decorrere da (effective from), fermo restando che (it being understood that).
