At the highest B2 level, you should be able to: (1) identify ALL cohesion devices in a passage simultaneously, (2) evaluate the overall cohesive quality of a text, (3) diagnose where cohesion breaks down and why, (4) rewrite or repair broken cohesion, and (5) choose between competing cohesion strategies based on register, clarity, and style. Mastering cohesion means mastering the craft of writing in Italian.
