Rule reminder

When the comparative involves a full clause (with a verb), Italian uses: 'più di quanto + congiuntivo' (more than one might think), 'più di quanto non + congiuntivo' (the 'non' is pleonastic and optional in formal Italian), 'come se + congiuntivo imperfetto' (as if), 'nel modo in cui' (in the way that). The congiuntivo is required after 'di quanto' in formal registers.
