Lexical Collocations — Collocazioni Lessicali·Exercise 43 — Collocations with 'Fare' vs Precise Verbs
💡

Rule reminder

English speakers overuse 'fare' in Italian because English 'make/do' covers many meanings. At B2 level, you must know when 'fare' is correct ('fare una domanda', 'fare progressi') and when a precise verb is required ('svolgere un'indagine' NOT 'fare un'indagine', 'prendere una decisione' NOT 'fare una decisione', 'raggiungere un accordo' NOT 'fare un accordo').
