Rule reminder
Hyponymy (iponimia) is a key lexical cohesion device. A hyponym is a more specific word (e.g. 'cane' is a hyponym of 'animale'). A superordinate/hypernym is a more general word (e.g. 'veicolo' is the superordinate of 'automobile', 'treno', 'bicicletta'). In texts, you can introduce specific terms and then refer back to them using a superordinate (or vice versa). This creates semantic chains that hold the text together without repetition.
Il testo usa pronomi, connettivi e ripetizioni. Tutti questi ___ contribuiscono alla coesione.
