Rule reminder

'Nemmeno', 'neanche', and 'manco' are near-synonymous emphatic negatives meaning 'not even'. Differences: 'Neanche' and 'nemmeno' are standard Italian (neutral register); 'manco' is colloquial and often regionally marked (Central-Southern Italy). All three can precede nouns ('nemmeno un grazie'), verbs ('non l'ha nemmeno guardato'), and in emphatic inversion sentence-initially ('Nemmeno a parlarne!'). Without 'non': sentence-initial position implies the negation. With 'non': standard negative clause position.
