Rule reminder

Academic Italian abstracts are characterised by dense chains of nominalisations, often involving three or more connected noun phrases: 'la valutazione dell'efficacia degli interventi di sostegno all'inclusione' (the evaluation of the effectiveness of inclusion support interventions). Each noun is linked to the next by 'di' or a preposition. This structure allows precise, economical expression of complex ideas without using subordinate clauses.
