Key formal prepositional phrases in Italian nominal style: 'in seguito a' (following, as a result of), 'a causa di' (because of), 'con riferimento a' (with reference to), 'in merito a' (regarding), 'ai fini di' (for the purposes of), 'a fronte di' (in the face of / against), 'in virtù di' (by virtue of), 'nell'ambito di' (within the scope of), 'a prescindere da' (regardless of), 'in relazione a' (in relation to). These phrases are ALWAYS followed by a noun phrase, never by a verb clause.
