Rule reminder

CAUSE tells WHY something happened (answered by 'perché?'): 'È andato via perché era stanco' (he left because he was tired). CONSEQUENCE tells WHAT HAPPENED AS A RESULT (answered by 'e quindi?'): 'Era così stanco che è andato via' (he was so tired that he left). Causal conjunctions: perché, poiché, siccome, dato che. Consecutive conjunctions: così... che, tanto... che, al punto che, cosicché, tanto da + infinitive.
