In formal and academic Italian, comparative relationships are often expressed with: superiore a (higher than / superior to), inferiore a (lower than / inferior to), pari a (equal to / equivalent to), equivalente a (equivalent to). These forms take 'a' (not 'di') and are common in reports, contracts, and academic writing.
