Rule reminder

Italian has several irregular comparative/superlative pairs: buono → migliore / ottimo; cattivo → peggiore / pessimo; grande → maggiore / massimo; piccolo → minore / minimo; alto → superiore / sommo; basso → inferiore / infimo. These forms replace 'più buono', 'più cattivo', etc. in formal contexts and must be used with the correct preposition.
