Rule reminder
Common traps: (1) 'se' in hypothetical sentences does NOT use the subjunctive — use the indicative or conditional. (2) 'quando' referring to future events uses the future indicative, not subjunctive. (3) Same-subject constructions use the infinitive, not 'che' + subjunctive. (4) 'siccome' and 'dato che' use the indicative. (5) 'dopo che' uses the indicative.
