Rule reminder

Pure has two main uses: (1) additive — 'anche lui, pure lui' = he too; (2) concessive/permissive — 'fai pure' = go ahead, 'se pure arrivasse tardi...' = even if he arrived late. In spoken Italian, pure (additive) is slightly more emphatic than anche and more literary than pure (permissive).
