Rule reminder

Italian has a rich array of adjective synonyms that go far beyond 'bello' and 'grande'. For 'bello': 'magnifico' (magnificent), 'splendido' (splendid), 'meraviglioso' (marvellous), 'straordinario' (extraordinary), 'affascinante' (fascinating/enchanting), 'incantevole' (enchanting). For 'grande': 'enorme' (enormous), 'vasto' (vast — area/knowledge), 'immenso' (immense), 'notevole' (considerable/notable), 'considerevole' (considerable), 'rilevante' (relevant/significant). Each has a different intensity and collocational preference.
