Rule reminder

Formal journalistic Italian uses specific distancing formulas: 'si apprende che' (it has been learned that), 'fonti autorevoli riferiscono' (authoritative sources report), 'secondo quanto risulta' (according to what has emerged), 'stando a quanto dichiarato' (according to what stated), 'il portavoce ha reso noto' (the spokesperson announced). These protect journalistic neutrality and indicate source attribution.
