Rule reminder

Modal clauses answer 'in what way?' or 'how?'. Main constructions: come se + subjunctive (unreal), senza / senza che (privative), gerundio (instrumental manner), quasi / quasi che (literary unreal). Always check whether subjects are the same or different for senza / senza che.
