Rule reminder
In complex Italian sentences, multiple causal relationships can be expressed through: (1) nested subordinate clauses with different causal conjunctions; (2) a combination of explicit and implicit causal constructions; (3) causal chains where one cause leads to an effect that becomes the cause of another effect. Careful tense concordance and conjunction choice are essential at B2 level.
Choose the option that correctly expresses a two-level causal chain: 'The project was delayed because the team was demotivated because the manager had not communicated the objectives clearly.'
