Rule reminder
An editorial ('editoriale') in Italian journalism presents the newspaper's institutional opinion or a senior journalist's well-argued position. It uses: (1) evaluative language and stance markers, (2) rhetorical devices (anaphora, rhetorical questions, antithesis), (3) logical connectives for argument building, (4) historical references for authority, (5) a clear call to action or judgment.
