Rule reminder
In legal and political Italian, misreading false friends can have serious consequences. 'Il decreto' = decree (same as English, but used far more broadly in Italian bureaucracy). 'La questura' ≠ question — it's the police headquarters. 'Il comune' = municipality/town hall (not just 'common'). 'Il sindaco' = mayor (not 'syndicate' or related to syndicates).
"Devo andare in **questura** per il permesso di soggiorno." Where does the speaker need to go?
