Rule reminder

Hypothetical sentences (periodi ipotetici): Type 2 (unlikely/contrary to present fact): se + imperfect subjunctive → conditional present. Type 3 (impossible/contrary to past fact): se + pluperfect subjunctive → conditional perfect. Mixed: se + pluperfect subjunctive → conditional present (past condition, present result). The subjunctive is ONLY in the 'se' clause; the main clause uses the conditional.
