Rule reminder
To make the passato prossimo negative, place 'non' before the auxiliary verb (avere). Example: non ho mangiato (I didn't eat / I haven't eaten). Never place 'non' between the auxiliary and the past participle.
Ieri io ___ perché ero stanco. (not go out — uscire uses essere, use: lavorare)
