Standard responses: 'Bene, grazie!' (Fine, thank you!), 'Molto bene!' (Very well!), 'Così così.' (So-so.), 'Non c'è male.' (Not bad.), 'Male.' (Bad.) Always add 'E tu?' (informal) or 'E Lei?' (formal) to ask back.
